Seona Areaiiti, OT WISE Director, graduated from James Cook University in Townsville with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2001. She also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997 at University of Queensland, majoring in Psychology.

Seona initially worked in Emerald in Central Queensland, establishing an Occupational Therapy service for the Division of General Practice, as a generalist Occupational Therapist with caseloads including hand therapy, paediatrics and community home assessments. Since then she has worked in mental health, acute medical and orthopaedics and adult rehabilitation.

Seona became passionate about rehabilitation, and worked as the Neuro Rehabilitation Team Leader in Occupational Therapy at Monash Health managing people with complex neurological conditions and supporting and mentoring new and developing Occupational Therapists and students, as well as holding managerial positions.

Seona has commenced her Masters Occupational Therapy (Neurological Rehabilitation) at Flinders University, and completed certificates in business and management, and is currently teaching at CQ University and planning to do further research in the near future.

Seona enjoys working closely with clients, challenging them to set goals and achieve them. Seona is working on Mondays and Tuesdays at Bundaberg East clinic.
